Description
PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Project #590-18-117 Paint Various Buildings The Department of Veterans Affairs, Hampton VA, has requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, expertise, and services to paint various buildings at the VA Medical Center Hampton VA site. All work must be performed after hours and weekends. Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. NAICS Code 236220 Size Standard $36.5 Million Work includes the following buildings, contractor shall verify actual square footage. Paint interior and exterior of buildings: Patient Care Buildings: Building 13: 40000 SF Building 14: 17000 SF Building 148T: 30500 SF Building 114: 64000 SF Non-Patient Care Buildings: Building 27: 205000 SF Building 28: 28000 SF Building 35: 16000 SF Building 37: 24000 SF Building 48: 21000 SF Building 36: 25700 SF Building 135: 73000 SF Building 52: 84000 SF Building 33: 30800 SF Building 43: 99000 SF Contractor shall prepare and patch wall surface to receive new paint. Contractor shall paint all painted surfaces only which includes: Walls, door frame and trim, window trim etc. Paint color shall match existing or maybe determined by the COR. Removal of wall items and furniture and putting them back to the same location is the responsibility of the Contractor. Contractor must have work crews that are capable of working in a healthcare environment and practice infection Control in Construction measures. Work will need to be carefully scheduled to allow the work areas to be vacated. Lead Paint removal: Remove approximately 15000 SF of loose, flaking lead base paint on various area above windows, walls in building 37, building 52, building 43, building 33, building 28 and other buildings not identified above. Contractor will recoat all affected areas with lead block, or equivalent primer paint. All work will be in accordance with 29CFR1926. Contractor is responsible for removing all hazardous material and waste and clean work area. This solicitation is anticipated to be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about February 15, 2019. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 32 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No bidders list is maintained. All interested vendors should register on this website.
