DEBAKEY VA MEDICAL CENTER (VAMC), HOUSTON, TEXAS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 36C25619Q0392 BACKGROUND: The Houston VAMC has a requirement for the following BRAND NAME OR EQUAL supplies: Manufacturer Stock # Item Description SEE SOW ATTACHED REQUESTED RESPONSES: The intent of this Request for Information is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post in the near future. STATEMENT OF WORK/DESCRIPTION OF WORK GENERAL INTENTION Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, equipment, tools, transportation, and supervision to provide, install at the Michael E DeBakey VA Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, Texas 77030. The Contractor shall provide all necessary training to the designated VA employees on how to use the installed equipment/products after the installation and setup were complete. All equipment shall be brand new, and all work shall be done in a first-class manner. The contract price shall be firm-fixed, all inclusive not limited to specified products/equipment, installation, setup/configuration, and training on how to use the installed products/equipment. CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS The Anesthesiology Care Line would like to purchase 4 each THE BELMONT RAPID INFUSER, RI-2, 120V, 1000 ml/min English purchase is for the total replacement or upgrade of existing outdated Belmont Rapid Infusers throughout the MEDVAMC Anesthesiology Care Line. Parameter Attribute BELMONT RAPID INFUSER, RI-2, 120V, 1000 ml/min English 4 Each Key Features of the Belmont ® Rapid Infuser The high-speed peristaltic fluid pump offers precise flow rate control from 2.5 to 1000ml/min and reliability. Ultrasonic in-line air sensor and Fluid-Out Air Detector automatically close the line to the patient and alerts the operator if there is no fluid flowing to the machine or if air has made its way into the patient line. Line pressure monitoring - System alarms and advises user when infusion line is kinked or blocked. Super efficient heat exchanger- Efficient and fast, this heater warms fluid from 4oC to 37.5oC in a single pass with no overheating or hot-spots. Infrared temperature sensors - Infrared temperature sensors monitors the fluid temperature as it enters and exits the heat exchanger. If the fluid is overheated, the system will stop infusing and sound an alarm. Touchscreen Control Panel - Displays flow rate, total volume infused, temperature and line pressure. The screen also prompts the user through the set-up, system prime, and the patient line prime. If alarm occurs, the alarm message with pictorial diagrams is given to assist with troubleshooting. Small, lightweight frame fits on any standard IV pole so the machine can be where you need it, when you need it.
