Description

_________________________________________________________________________ Update 25 Jan 19 HQ AETC and AFICA 338 SCONS would like to thank industry for the information received and valued interaction pertaining to the CUPT RFI and Industry Days. This was one of many approaches the Air Force has considered in ongoing efforts to address aircrew shortages. The Air Force is developing a Business Case Analysis to further explore all options to increase pilot production. As part of this analysis it was determined that, under our proposed concept as described in this RFI, CUPT will not be a viable option. One of our primary assumptions is we would have excess T-38 aircraft to use for CUPT; this is no longer possible as we increase organic throughput with revised training syllabus efficiencies. Any future RFIs pertaining to the aircrew shortages will be posted as a separate RFI. No further information is anticipated to be communicated pertaining to RFI FA3002-18-RFI-CUPT after this transmission barring any follow up questions from industry specific to this RFI.
