- Description
- This Sources Sought/Market Survey Notice is being conducted by the Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System to identify sources that are capable of providing labor, supervision, travel, supplies and other resources for a VHA National Center for Patient Safety (NCPS) sponsored training event. The contractor shall be responsible for the financial, logistical, and functional activities related to procuring required service. The contractor shall provide all educational support materials required for multiple face-to-face sessions for up to 50 participants in four separate 1 ½ hour breakout sections. The purpose of this training is to provide Patient Safety Managers (PSM) an in-depth education experience to create tomorrow s leaders in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety for VA and the Nation as well as contribute to the VA s national leadership in education in healthcare quality and patient safety professions. PSMs require a broad range of leadership skills to guide, direct, and manage Patient Safety improvements at all levels of management, from front-line personnel to executive leaders. Providing leadership workshops utilizing the High-Reliability Organization foundational leadership principles initially developed by the US Navy Nuclear Submarine Program allows for the development of those leadership skills required to operate in high-risk environments that have the potential to impact the safety of Veteran care. The training must be provided at a conference in Orlando, Florida, the week of March 4, 2019 at the Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort. In your sources sought response, please demonstrate your abilities to train High-Reliability Organization foundational leadership principles initially developed by the US Navy Nuclear Submarine Program.
