Description
EXWC requires an automated inspection tool that performs rapid and complete 3D surface measurements and mapping of hand-held sized materials and components. EXWC currently does not have an automated 3D measurement tool. Current inspections of small project parts or specimens are done using manual or digital calipers for width, length, and height, or with an archaic stylus-type profilometer for surface profile and roughness information. These methods are slow and inadequate for critical failure inspections and similar analyses, in comparison to newer scanning technology. Measurement Specifications Required: -Non-contact (measuring head does NOT need to touch the sample) -2 Viewing Modes: Wide-Field and High Magnification for up to 180X magnification -Field-of-View: Up to 24-mm Horizontal and 18-mm Vertical -Zoom Range: Up to 4X -Measurement Accuracy: ±3-um height and ±2-um width (high magnification mode) -Measurement Repeatability: 0.5-um height and 0.5-um (high magnification mode) -Scale Resolution: Down to 0.1-um -Data Points per Measurement: Up to 780,000 -Speed: Down to 4-seconds per single scan per view area -Height Difference Calculation Method: Triangulation -Measurement Lighting: White LED Types of Measurements Required: -Height -Surface Area, Roughness, Wear, and Warp -Volume -Angles -Line to Line Distance -Point to Point Distance -Center to Center Distance -Circle Diameter -Arc Radius -Corner Radius 3D Color Imaging Required: -Imaging Size: Up to 2048 x 1500-Pixels -CMOS Imaging Resolution: 9+ MP (megapixels) -16-bit High Dynamic Resolution -Telecentric lenses to minimize distortion in the field of view -Observation Lighting: Multi-Color LED -Built-in Depth Composition Sample Stage Required: -200 x 150-mm minimum surface size -Motorized stroke: minimum 180 x 80-mm (X, Y-axes) and 90-mm (Z-axis) movement -Rotation: ±180-degrees minimum -Tilt: ±30-degrees minimum -Minimum Distance of Head to Stage: 75-mm Bench-top Sized (entire system) Data files exportable to Excel and CAD Power: Standard Voltage 100 VAC 50/60-Hz Plug-In Vibration-proof rubber soles for Measurement Head and Stage PC, Monitor, and ALL software to achieve the required specifications.
