- The VA Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22 submits a notice of intent to award a single-source, preventative maintenance services and intervening services on mailroom equipment. This will be an inclusive order for intervening service calls, 24/7 technical phone support, parts, software updates, labor, material, transportation and related costs. The intended contract period will be for twelve (12) months, and up to four (4) one-year options, anticipated to begin February 1, 2019 through January 31, 2020. Participating Healthcare Facility: Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center 5901 E. 7th Street Long Beach, CA 90822 This single-source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from acquiring these services on a competitive basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(i) for the aforementioned requirement based on the application of FAR 6.302(a)(2)(ii). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the action proposed in this announcement. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government and would not be cost or time prohibitive. The determination not to compete this proposed contact action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, and this is NOT a solicitation.
