Description
The contractor shall provide new serviceable uniforms at the beginning of the service contract. The contractor shall provide initial fittings and measurements 15 days after award of contract. The contractor shall launder and maintain uniforms, throughout each period. The contractor shall pick up, clean, and deliver uniforms on a weekly basis. The contractor shall be responsible to make sure all employees uniforms are tracked/labeled such that employee A gets employees A s uniform s and no other employee s. Contractor shall deliver and maintain uniforms for a minimum of 65 employees and maximum up to 97 employees of the engineering department. A total of 11 sets per employee, (standard or FR rated uniforms) shall be delivered to each Lexington VAMC employee. In addition, the contractor shall deliver and maintain Flame Resistant Uniforms for no less than 25 and up to 34 Lexington VAMC engineering employees. Lastly, the contractor shall deliver and maintain standard uniforms for no less than 40 and up to 63 Lexington VAMC engineering employees. A. Standard Uniform Items 1. Short Sleeve Polo with one pocket: 100% Polyester for Carpentry, Plumbing, Transportation shops, Biomed, six short sleeve work shirts per person. Colors to be determined at the time of award. (11 sets) (Colors to be True Navy, True Royal, Forest Green, True Red and Iron Grey; quantities to be determined at time of award) Sport-Tek ® Micropique Sport-Wick ® Polo ST650 Sanmar, Smooth micropique polos that wick moisture and resist snags. 3.8-ounce, 100% polyester tricot or equivalent. 2. Long Sleeve Polo with one pocket: 100% Polyester for Carpentry, Plumbing, Transportation shops, Biomed, five long sleeve work shirts per person. Colors to be determined at the time of award. (11 sets) (Colors to be True Navy, True Royal, Forest Green, True Red and Iron Grey; quantities to be determined at time of award) Sport-Tek ® Micropique Sport-Wick ® Polo ST650 Sanmar or equivalent 3. Work Pants: Lint and fade resistant. Heavy duty brass ratcheting zipper, cargo khaki colored pants, eleven per person. Industrial cargo blend. Industrial Cargo -Blend: 65% Polyester / 35% Cotton PT88. Fabric: 7.5 oz. Twill or equivalent. B. Flame Resistant Uniforms 1. Flame Resistant (FR rated) Work Shirt (Cotton) with one pocket: 100% long sleeve cotton shirts. All shirt colors will be determined at time of award. NOTE: Must comply with NFPA 70E and ASTM-F-1506 standards hazard risk Category 2. (11 sets). 2. Flame Resistant (FR rated) cargo khaki pants Cotton Cargo: 100% Cotton; FR rated category 2, cargo khaki pants for Electric and HVAC shops at both sites. Pants will be cargo khaki color. NOTE: Must comply with NFPA 70E and ASTM-F-1506 standards hazard risk Category 2. (11 sets). Requirement also includes embroidering an Engineering Emblem on all shirts including FR rated shirts. For FR shirts only, a patch with Engineering emblem and required text will be acceptable to VA. Contractor to provide a laundry locker for dirty uniforms and separate rack or locker for clean uniform delivery at two separate Lexington VAMC locations. Quoters may be requested to provide uniform samples for review at no cost to the government for the samples and shipping to and from the Lexington VAMC. This will be an unrestricted solicitation. The VA is contemplating a base year with 4 option years. Services are anticipated to begin on or about February 18, 2019. The anticipated contract type will be a firm fixed-price requirements contract. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpp website on or about January 18, 2019. This date is subject to change. All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management database (www.SAM.gov) when proposals are received and for the awardee at time of award to be eligible for award of a contract.
