Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is RFQ-75N94019Q00010 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation /contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-99. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 344516 with a size standard of 500. This acquisition is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Digestive, Diabetes & Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to procure Transdermal Fluorescence Detector and Excitation Devices.. The miniaturized instrument is built from four light-emitting diodes with an emission maximum for MB-102 at 450 nm (channel 1) and for MB-404 at 500nm (channel 2). The photo diodes detect the fluorescent light with a maximum sensitivity peak at 560 nm for MB-102 and at 580nm for MB-404. To select the appropriate wavelength for channel 1, three filter layers are placed in front of the photodiode (767 Oklahoma Yellow; 500 nm; Lee Filters). Optical properties for Channel 2 can be adjusted using optical filtration if necessary. After highly sensitive amplification and digitization (10 bit), the data is stored in the internal memory of the micro-controller. After the measurement the data set is downloaded to a PC (via USB), where the kinetic parameters are determined. The energy for the device is supplied by a small lithium polymer rechargeable battery (201212 from General Electronics Battery Co., Ltd.). NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (06-JAN-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE. PLEASE CONTACT 877-472-3779 or fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
