- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY: This announcement is seeking information from industry, which will be used for preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research to determine if there are a sufficient number of qualified and interested Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and/or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), capable of providing the required services, to warrant a solicitation set-aside in accordance with the requirements of Public Law 109-461. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veteran Benefits Administration, 1000 Liberty Ave., Pittsburg, PA, 15222, is seeking a qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) to provide translations of all original documentation for claims and other documents, for the purpose of processing Veterans claims for benefits at the Pittsburgh VA Regional Office. The office is also contacted by other VBA Offices to translate documents into English. Please review the attached draft Statement of Work for additional details. Applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541930 (Translation and Interpretation Services), with a Small business size standard of $7.5 Million. Interested parties responding to this sources sought request shall submit the following information at a minimum: (1) Company name, address, DUNS Number, and point of contact with phone number, and e-mail address; (2) Type of business (i.e. Large Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Business (SB), etc.) under NAICS 541930; (3) List of firm s experiences in work performed of similar type and scope to include projects in progress and completed within the past 5 years; (4) GSA Contract Number (if applicable to this requirement); (5) A positive statement of your firm s ability to meet the requirements of 13 CFR § 125.6, Limitations on Subcontracting; (6) A positive statement of your firm s intent to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation for this project; The response date to this Sources Sought notice is December 27, 2018, at 3:00 PM EST.
