Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7, intends to negotiate and award a sole source, firm fixed price contract for Cardiothoracic Medical Specialist services to Emory University, 1365 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta GA 30322. The anticipated contract period of performance will be for a 6-month period beginning January 1, 2019 through June 30, 2019. The Cardiothoracic physician shall provide cardiothoracic services required for open heart surgical procedures and support of the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Program (TAVR). Services will include preoperative, operative, and postoperative Cardiac surgical care and patient evaluation, testing and other diagnostic services required to meet established standards of care to the beneficiaries at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center requires the physician to be Board Certified /Board Eligible. Under the authority of Medical Sharing Authority, Title 38 USC 8153 implementing Public Law 104-262 in accordance with VHA Directive 1663 for executing medical services contracts. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) code is 611310 Colleges, Universities and Professional Schools and the business size standard is $27.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any responses received will only be considered for future purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of sole source contract described in this notice and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of the Government. POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: 1) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, NAICS code(s), business size (i.e., small/large) and DUNS Number. 2) Provide a Statement of Capability that demonstrates the offeror's past performance in providing this type of service.
