- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Palo Alto Health Care System intends to solicit quotes to enter a fixed price 5-year Single Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations on or about December 4, 2018, with a closing date for quotes on or about December 11, 2018 from contractors in the Palo Alto, CA., area to provide specialized histological processing of human tissues and biopsies within 18 Hours turnaround time. The solicitation will be available for download from http://www.fbo.gov Interested contractors are responsible for downloading copies of the solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide full information to contractors about the proposal submission process. Prospective contractors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the FBO website so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation or any amendments. Large and small businesses as well as non-profit organizations are welcome to respond in the event no Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses have the capacity to provide this service. The period of performance is December 18, 2018 through December 17, 2023. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 621511. Size Standard of $32.5 Million. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the System of Award Management at www.sam.gov Registration is free and potential offerors are encouraged to visit that SAM website and register as soon as possible to avoid delays should they be selected for a contract award.
