Description

STATEMENT OF NEED The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) has a need for: EYE SURGERY STRETCHER The government is seeking all interested manufacturer vendors; and specifically Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) in accordance with Vets First and the Rule of 2 (Kingdomware decision). If interested, please provide: All SDVOSB and VOSB firms that respond shall include proof of CVE certification via www.vip.vetbiz.gov and information detailing who manufactures the item. All small business firms that respond shall include proof of small business status via their Representations and Certifications in accordance with (FAR 4.1102 Policy). While SDVOSB/VOSB contractors are preferred, all capable contractors are welcome to respond to this sources sought notice for market research purposes, and shall include a specification sheet with your submission. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS Needs to have best head end clearance offered for eye surgery stretchers. Needs to have all metal teeth and grove braking system to help reduce swivel and roll of the wheels. Needs to have dual position side rails that provides access for the surgeon while keeping the patient safely inside the side rails. Needs to have a crank backrest that allows for precise patient positioning. Needs to have a dual articulating headpiece allows for exact positioning of each patients head and neck. Needs to be equipped with the slimmest profile backrest to provide additional clearance for the surgeon.
