- Description
- The Army Contracting Command-Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA) in Colorado Springs, CO has awarded the Wideband Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Operations and Technical Support (WSOTS) II Contract, which supports the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) and other partner organizations. The scope of the requirement includes the monitoring, configuring, and maintaining of the Wideband SATCOM Operational Management System (WSOMS) network. The services include on-site maintenance and repair support and services, operations support and services, and technical assistance; on-call maintenance and repair support and services, operations support and services, and technical assistance; depot and supply support and services; training support and services; logistic support and services; networking support and services; communications analysis support and services; hardware maintenance support and services; software, firmware, and database support and services; and computer system administration and information assurance support and services for the systems, equipment, facilities, and organizations at locations worldwide. Locations of support include, but are not limited to, the following: Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Germany, Japan, United Kingdom, and Australia. The contract period of performance includes a 60-day phase-in transition period, a one-year base period, seven one-year option periods and a potential six-month extension in accordance with FAR 52.217-8. The single award contract was executed on 27 November 2018 to Harris Corporation, Space & Intelligence 1, with an award value of $217,670,998.
