Description
Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to require, on a sole source basis, a brand name requirement for the manufacturer OSIsoft to supply the DataHistorian system for the new Compound Semiconductor Laboratory and Microsystems Integration Facility (CSL-MIF) to be constructed on Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB) in Lexington, MA. The procurement number will be W912WJ19R0001. The CSL-MIF will be part of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Lincoln Laboratory (MIT LL) campus on HAFB. The existing DataHistorian system has been used continually at MIT LL for the past 10 years. The existing system operates in all buildings on the MIT LL campus on HAFB. It archives and gives lab wide access to all the critical Building Management System (BMS) and other systems (e.g. power metering, chilled water plant data, etc.) trended input/output (I/O) data at MIT LL, as well as providing live data to the researchers. OSIsoft PI is the database software for the archiving tool and, recently, MIT LL decided to use the database and tools to create their own Data Historian archiver. The OSIsoft PI system is essential to the MIT LL labs existing building management and research requirements. The DataHistorian system for the CSL-MIF must be fully integrated with the existing system to prevent compatibility and interoperability issues. The OSIsoft PI System is fully backwards compatible with the existing archiving data currently monitoring and archiving data for MIT LL. All recent projects at MIT LL have had input/output data archived on the DataHistorian system. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (27-NOV-2018); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE. PLEASE CONTACT 877-472-3779 or fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
