THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. The NCO 12, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, 115 S. 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53214, is performing market research. This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333993. The Edward Hines Jr. Hospital in Hines, IL has a need for a Unit Dose Packaging System. The Auto-Print Unit Dose Packaging System for Oral Solid Medication by Medical Packaging Inc. is known to meet the needs of the VA. CLIN Item Description 0001 AP-2-9300-2-115 Auto-Print 2.0 Standard 0002 Installation, Training, and Tech Support Interested vendors capable of providing the above or comparable are encouraged to respond. If product is comparable (i.e. Equal ), it must meet or exceed these minimum specifications: - Must be able to operate without access to hospital s network - Must be able to package at least 60 unit-dose medications per minute - Must fit on a table top. Should not exceed 15 W X 36 D X 14 H - Must be able to label each dose. Label must be able to contain drug name, strength, formulation, expiration date, lot number, and hospital s name in accordance with Federal law. - Labels must be able to print barcodes that are readable with BCMA s scanning capabilities. - Labels must be easy to read and not smear on contact. - Packaging system must have a drug database that is easy to use and can be adjusted locally in the inpatient pharmacy. Must have log in capability and limit basic users access to manipulate drug database. - Company must provide technical support remotely and on site. - Installation required All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated above should respond in writing and include at least ALL of the following information: Company name: Address: Point of contact (name/title/telephone number/e-mail address). FSS Contract number, if applicable: DUNS number: Tax ID number: Indication of which business category (SDVOSB, VOSB, Small Business or Large Business) for which the organization qualifies. A capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to provide the requirement depicted above. If offering equipment as a distributor, provide a memo or correspondence from the manufacturer which proves the authorization as a distributor of the manufacturer s products. If an authorized distributor, a statement explaining the added value provided with this purchase if any. Reference the product, facility and sources sought number on all correspondence regarding this announcement. TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for set-aside consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 333993 and the small business size standard is 500 employees.
