Description

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to require, on a sole source basis, a brand name requirement for the manufacturer Advantor to supply the Electronic Safety and Security System related to renovations at Pease Air National Guard, New Hampshire. In order to ensure the safety and security of the people, equipment and infrastructure at Pease Air National Guard, Buildings must be upgraded to communicate security information to the central monitoring system. The Advantor security system is the existing standardized security system installed and operated base wide at Pease Air National Guard Base. The new security panels must integrate with the existing Advantor system and relay information to central security monitoring. The new panel must be Advantor because any products to be connected on the existing security monitoring must be the existing system's products in order to ensure system compatibility and to maintain manufacturer's warranty. Other manufacturer's components may not operate properly or operate at all on the existing system. The security system as a whole, is an essential part of assuring Safety and Security Air National Guard personnel with monitoring capabilities. In case of emergency, the security alerts must be transmitted to security forces immediately. This critical system must operate seamlessly with the base wide system.
