- Applicable Wage Determination Statement of Work Evaluation Criteria Applicable Provisions and Clauses Combined Synopsis Solicitation THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS-AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-100. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561210-Facility Support Services. The small business size standard is $35,000,000.00. This acquisition is set aside for small businesses. Simplified acquisition procedures will be utilized. Background Information This is a Critical Repair to an 80,000 PPH English Boiler (SG-5) that has a tube(s) leak(ing) on the rear back right side of the boiler. This work will include repairs to the burner wall and cone refractory, hydrostatic testing of boiler at operating pressure, and startup of boiler. This repair will likely include the removal of the outer skin, fiber board, insulation, and refractory and membrane wall. It will also require the installation of new material to return of the boiler to service. If welding is required on the pressure side of the system R1 certification paperwork and boiler inspection will be required by the awarded contractor.
