Description
Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute the issuance of a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. The Department of Veterans Affairs, (VA), James A. Haley VA Hospital located in Tampa, FL. is conducting market research to identify contract holders that are qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), capable and interested in providing the required services/products as listed in the attached Statement of Required Ser/Prod document. The Government may use the responses to this market research for information and planning purposes. The responses to this announcement will assist in market research survey to determine the availability of SDVOSBs and VOSBs in consideration of a socio-economic set-aside. The attached description describes only the currently contemplated possible scope of services/products and may vary from the work scope in a final Statement of Service Requirements document if the Government decides to issue a Request for Quote. This will be a firm-fixed priced order. The applicable NAICS for this service is: 511210, Software Publishers. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM - https://www.sam.gov) prior to award. Interested Vendors Interested vendors/contractors submitting a response to this inquiry must include the following information: 1.Contractor must provide an authorized distributor letter for service/products from the Original Equipment Manufacturer to prevent gray market items. Gray market items are Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) goods sold through unauthorized channels in direct competition with authorized distributors. (a) Vendor shall be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment and/or services contracts, verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM, such that the OEM s warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM.   All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the equipment and/or services contracts shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. 2. Company Information (business name, DUNS number, business size/category, and any pertinent company-related information). 3. Primary point of contact, including phone number and e-mail address 4. Applicable socioeconomic categories and any pertinent information, which demonstrates firm s ability to meet the requirement 5. Capability Statement (brief descriptions of capabilities, resources, experience, etc. (1 page maximum) 6. GSA contracts schedule numbers, if applicable. All responses to this SS/RFI notice shall be submitted to the following email address: LaVerne.Astroth@va.gov. The closing time/date for responses is 4:00 PM (EST), November 09, 2018. This Request for Information is for market research purposes only and it does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Respondents are advised that the United States (U.S.) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Request for Information. All costs associated with responding to this Request for Information will be solely at the responding party s expense. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Not responding to this Request for Information does not preclude participation in future solicitations. Responses to this notice are not quotes and cannot be accepted by the U.S. Government to form a binding contract.
