- On or about March 1, 2018, the Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL ETA) anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the continued operation of the Milwaukee Job Corps Center plus Outreach and Admission and Career Transition Services for the state of Wisconsin located at 6665 N. 60th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53223. These services are being solicited as UNRESTRICTED. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will have a 2-year base period, plus three (3) governmental unilateral renewal options for one (1) year each. The anticipated start date is on or about September 1, 2018. A Pre-proposal Conference and Site Visit will be scheduled at the Milwaukee Corps center. The Pre-proposal Conference and Site Visit shall be held on March 21, 2018 at 10:00 AM. local time. The Center is located at 6665 N. 60th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53223. It is recommended that potential Offerors download the RFP from the website: http://www.fbo.gov prior to attending the pre-proposal conference and site visit. While attendees may submit written questions during the conference and/or site tour, no questions concerning the RFP will be answered at the conference. While all questions and resultant answers will be made public, the names of attendees and the source of the questions will not be disclosed publicly. Lodging, transportation, and meals are the responsibility of attendees. Job Corps is a national residential training and employment program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor to address the multiple barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged youth throughout the United States. Job Corps was originally established by the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964; current authorization for the program is the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014.
