- THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 13.106, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing intends to award, on a sole source basis, a one year BPA to Zeiser Inc. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (hereafter "BEP") has a requirement to obtain numbering heads, parts and support for its Currency Overprinting Processing Equipment infrastructure. The period of performance will be one (1) twelve months, one year. Given the Bureau's current infrastructure and the need for continued operations of the Bureau's high volume, high security currency printing processing needs, the required numbering heads and parts for its COPE/LEPE equipment must fully comply with the Bureau's current infrastructure. Past attempts of using substitute parts from different suppliers have resulted inoperability with the Bureau's infrastructure which subjects the Bureau to escalated risk to its mission critical operations. To ensure the effective, efficient, and economical operations of the Bureau's processes, the Bureau is seeking to award a BPA to Zeiser, Inc the manufacturer of the Bureau's numbering systems that is integral part of the Bureau's Currency Overprinting Process infrastructure. No substitution of these parts have been found technically acceptable per previous market history. This is a commercial item that will be acquired under FAR Part 12 and FAR Subpart 13.106 procedures. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETTIVE QUOTES; a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. Responses to this notice shall be received by 02 November 2018 at 11:00am EST. All responses must be in writing only via email to the point of contacts specified in this notice, telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
