Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for 342 modification kits to upgrade the Automated Track and Balance Set Computer Indicator Power Supply (ATABS CIPS), P/N 1576AS110-3, NIIN 01-546-0108, to address obsolescence issues. This effort includes NRE for qualification and verification (functional, software, environmental), and logistics updates. ATABS is support equipment used at USN/USMC Organizational maintenance activities to perform propeller and rotor blade tracking and balancing for C-2, E-2C/D, H-3, H-53, and H-60 aircraft. ATABS has experienced significant obsolescence issues in computer hardware and test capabilities. Addressing these obsolescence issues is critical to maintaining the availability of this equipment to the fleet. This procurement will be on a sole source basis with Technology for Energy Corporation (dba ACES Systems; Cage Code 3X699), who is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the commercial depot. NAWCADLKE intends to award this contract under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. All vendors must be registered in Systems for Award Management (SAM) Database. The internet website is https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. It is mandatory to register with the SAM as your DUNs Number (Data Universal Numbering System) and your CAGE CODE (Commercial and Government Entity) code will be required to conduct business with the Department of Defense.
