- Description
- ASSET MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Inspector General (OIG) conducts and supervises independent audits, investigations, and inspections of the programs and operations of DHS, and recommends ways for DHS to carry out its responsibilities in the most effective, efficient, and economical manner possible. We also seek to deter, identify and address fraud, abuse, mismanagement, and waste of taxpayer funds invested in Homeland Security. DHS OIG maintains fixed and replaceable assets at approximately thirty offices around the country, and supports approximately one thousand total individuals (contractors and employees). These assets include standard office equipment as well as specific IT (laptops, monitors, etc.) and law enforcement (firearms, ammo, vests, radios, etc.) gear. We are performing market research to identify IT solutions that would allow us to manage all of our assets in a single software package. The solution should be robust enough to cover all of our requirements for full lifecycle (acquisition through decommissioning) management, and should be tailored to the unique needs of law enforcement organizations. If available, we are looking for integrated solutions that include mandatory training tracking (e.g. quarterly qualifications, annual CPR, etc.) as well as basic fleet management. The OIG would like respondents provide a capability statement, also a rough order of magnitude (ROM) for the specifications attached to this RFI.
