Description
Pavement Report Drainage Report Cross sections Plan set Solicitation THIS IS AN INVITATIONFOR BID - PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE. THIS PROJECT IS BEING ADVERTISED AS A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. This project is located to the east of Las Cruces, New Mexico in Doña Ana County on Soledad Canyon Road. The project begins at the intersection of Dripping Springs Road and continues to Organ Mountains - Desert Peaks National Monument. This is a desert environment located over a mile above sea level. The intent of this project is to improve access to the Organ Mountains - Desert Peaks National Monument for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. The proposed project improvements will enhance Federal Lands, visitor access, improve multi-modal use, and improve drainage and sediment control. These improvements include roadway widening and resurfacing, introduction of a multi-use path, drainage improvements (arroyo improvements), parking lot improvements, signing, and new pavement markings. This project consists of Schedule A, Schedule B and Option Y. Schedule A and Schedule B begins at Dripping Springs Road and stops at the Organ Mountains - Desert Peaks National Monument boundary. Option Y continues from the end of Schedule A (or Schedule B) to and including the National Monument's parking lot. SIGNIFICANT QUANTITIES (Schedule B): 20401-0000, Roadway Excavation: 21,557 CUYD 30101-0000, Aggregate Base, Method 2: 24,792 TON 30402-1000, Full Depth Reclamation, Method 1: 73,071 SQYD 40101-5600, Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Gyratory Mix, ½-Inch or ¾-Inch Nominal Maximum Size Aggregate, 0.3 to <3 Million ESAL: 21,188 TON 60901-1700, Curb, Concrete, 18-Inch Depth: 6,500 LNFT Soledad Canyon Road is located in a residential area. There are numerous driveways and side streets throughout the project that will need to remain open during construction. The project template utilizes the majority of the 60' right of way on this project. There are temporary easements for the side roads. There is limited room for any material or equipment storage outside the designated staging area. The current roadway alignment will be shifted during construction of the new pavement. Existing utilities may be relocated during construction and coordination will be required during these times. Cross sections, pavement design report, and hydraulics report are available to perspective bidders. Anticipated range: $7 - $9Million.
