- Description
- Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A)&(B), the Department of Commerce (DOC)/Enterprise Services intends to negotiate a sole source, firm fixed price contract with FIS Reference Data Solutions, LLC for "Forecasting Analysis and Modeling Environment (FAME) Software Licensing" at the estimated price of $1.3 Million. This procurement will provide FAME software licensing to the DOC, Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) so that users can analyze time-series data to produce the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The production of the GDP is mission critical to the BEA. FAME was designed specifically to work with time-series data and includes sufficient built-in functionality to make analysis of time-series data more efficient. FAME Software remains BEA's standard software for time-series analysis. FAME Software provides modernization for better integration with other software products, workflow-oriented dashboards and wizards for extracting, transforming and loading data into FAME databases, and querying tools, including connectors to third-party applications tools for building metadata on top of FAME databases. BEA prefers the FAME Software's time-series data approach which includes sufficient built-in functionality and therefore, would like to procure FIS Reference Data Solutions, LLC proprietary software license. The intent of this notice is not to request competitive proposals, and any information received from interested parties will only be considered solely for determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted. However, interested parties may submit a description of their firm's capabilities for satisfying this requirement, which demonstrates they possess the ability to successfully perform this effort. The responses must be received no later than November 1, 2018 at 5:00 PM EST. All questions concerning this matter should be addressed directly to Courtney Palmer via email at cpalmer@doc.gov.
