Description

**ALL FIRMS ARE INSTRUCTED NOT TO CALL THE INDIVIDUAL VA MEDICAL CENTERS REQUESTING MORE INFORMATION. ** CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: LB - Remove & Replace Emergency Generator. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Long Beach VA Health Care System (LBVAHCS) has a requirement for the installation of an emergency generator and associated equipment. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. Work includes, but is not limited to: Remove & Replace existing Emergency Generator, Day Tank, Exhaust Fan and ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) and Wall Mounted Disconnect, Bldg-5A. The Statement of Work (SOW) will define the effort required for the completion of work. The Government will not reimburse the firm for their proposal preparation cost. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit: date, time and location of site visit still to be determined. Information regarding the site visit will be indicated in the solicitation when posted. All offerors are strongly urged to attend. Statement of Work, Specifications, and Drawings will be issued as attachments to the solicitation. This notice is issued by NCO-22 Gilbert, Located in Phoenix Arizona. However, work be performed at the following VA facility: Long Beach California VA Health Care System (600) 5901 E. 7th Street Long Beach, California 90822 This construction project will be solicited as a Total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS code) for this procurement is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction $36.5). Small Business concerns for this NAICS code have a size standard of $36.5M.   The resulting contract will be a firm fixed construction contract. The period of performance of the contract has yet to be determined, with no options included. The period of performance will be specified in the solicitation. The anticipated Range of Magnitude for this project, in accordance with VAAR 836.204 is projected to be: Between $250,000 and $500,000. It is anticipated that a Solicitation will be issued in November, 2018. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted. NO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE OTHER THAN WHAT IS NOTED HEREIN.
