- Description
- Updated NIIN population Responses to Industry Day questions. Attached are the Q&As from the Industry Day held September 20, 2018. Also attached is the updated NIIN population separated into Active and Inactive items. The spreadsheet includes stock on hand, due-in, annual demand quantity, and supplier data, as well as other information. For the Active items, there are three groups identified: 1. Initial Priced Group - These are items DLA anticipates including in the RFP to be priced. These will be included in the evaluation of proposals. 2. Future Price Group - Based upon the current stock position and anticipated demand, pricing for these items will not be required initially; however DLA anticipates requiring pricing at some point during the base performance period. These items will not be priced at the time of proposal submission and will not be included in the evaluation of proposals. 3. Lead-time delivery - These are items anticipated to be in the initial priced group; however these items will be subject to a lead time delivery in lieu of TDD standards. These will be included in the evaluation of proposals. For the Inactive Group - These are the items DLA does not anticipate any demands during the potential 10 year performance period. These will be unpriced; h owever, DLA reserves the right to request pricing for these items for addition to the contract should demands change over the life of the contract. Following are the definitions of the Acquisition Method Codes (AMC) to assist identifying competitive and sole source items. Note: For items coded 3, 4, or 5 DLA does not have the technical data. 0 Not established. 1 Suitable for competitive acquisition. 2 Suitable for competitive acquisition for the first time. 3 Acquire directly from the actual manufacturer, whether or not the prime contractor is the actual manufacturer. 4 Acquire, for the first time, directly from the actual manufacturer rather than the prime contractor who is not the actual manufacturer. 5 Acquire only from the prime contractor although the engineering data identifies the CAGE and part number of a source other than the prime.
