Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to obtain information from qualified vendors with special interest relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 325998, All Other Miscellaneous Chemical Product and Preparation Manufacturing. Requirement The Dayton VA Medical Center has a requirement for 200 tons of bulk order deicing road salt to treat roads during inclement weather. Salt required will be used for deicing of streets, parking lots and sidewalks located on the Dayton VA grounds. Delivery shall be made within 30 days of award to the Grounds Maintenance Facility, 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, OH, 45428-9000. Interested vendors are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Registration is available at www.sam.gov. To be eligible to respond as an SDVOSB or VOSB, a firm must be Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) registered in VetBiz. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. Responses to this sources sought notice must contain the following information: (1) Company name and address, point of contact with phone number, and DUNS number; (2) Business type (SDVOSB/VOSB, SB, WOSB, etc.) (3) Capability statement Responses should be sent to Stacy Massey at stacy.massey@va.gov. The deadline to respond is October 22, 2018, at 4:00 pm (Local). As a reminder, this is a Sources Sought announcement only. There is no guarantee, expressed or implicit, that the market research for this acquisition will result in a particular set-aside or sole source award, or any other guarantee of award strategy. All information is to be provided on a voluntary basis at no charge to the Government.
