Description
C-17 Support Equipment Rigging Kit/Equipment_4920-01-290-4575 This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract with 3-1 year Options for NOUN Rigging Kit/Equipment; NSN: 4920-01-290-4575; Part Number 17G140015-1. The Basic is for Qty. of 3 each (includes first article), Test Plan (1 LO), and Test Report (1 LO). The 3-1 year Options are based on Qty. range of 1-2 each. Request delivery is 120 calendar days ARO. The options can be exercised in full or partially, and can be exercised simultaneously throughout the contract life. This item is necessary to rig the following C-17 systems: Flight Control System, which includes the aileron, elevator, rudder and horizontal stabilizer systems, nose wheel steering system, brake system, ram air turbine system, aerial refueling system, cargo door, uplatch release system, nose gear emergency free fall system, and main gear emergency free fall system. The rigging requirements include the adjustment of control rod lengths/cable tension. To accomplish the adjustment required it is necessary to lock specific components within the particular system. Locking is accomplished by inserting "PINS" into dedicated holes designed into specific components of each system. This requirement will be a set-aside for Small Business. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFQ. All responsible Small Business sources may submit a proposal to be considered by the contracting agency. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), Excluded Parties List System (EPLS), and other Government databases to determine contractor status before evaluating proposals. Proposal will be evaluated based on criteria stated in the RFQ. We anticipated release of the RFQ on or around 1 November 2018 with an estimated response date of 1 December 2018. The RFQ and all attachments will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage (http://www.fbo.gov/).
