- MARKET SURVEY DLA Land and Maritime is preparing to solicit an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for NSN 6145-01-126-5687, Cable, Power, Electric, made in accordance with GENERAL CABLE CORPORATION (81774) P/N 81314. The solicitation will be issued using FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete and unrestrictive technical data, therefore the Government intends to solicit and contract with only the approved source (and its authorized vendors) under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304( c)(1). Alternate offers will be required to provide a complete data package including data for the approved and alternate part for evaluation. The item is anticipated to require FOB Origin and Inspection and Acceptance at Destination. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 334290 with a business size of 750. This SOURCES SOUGHT notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research pursuant to FAR Part 10. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. No solicitation exists at this time. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified businesses that are capable of executing the potential contract. The government is not obligated and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. Sources interested in providing an offer on this solicitation should complete the attached market survey and return the completed copy to Susan Lupo via e-mail at susan.lupo@dla.mil by October 22, 2018.
