Description
Solicitation Documents: The solicitation will be issued as a Commercial Item/Request for Quote (RFQ) requiring both price and non-price factors. Documents will only be available electronically to download from this website on or about October 9, 2018. Description: The objective of Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) is to protect public safety and Forest Service investment in road infrastructure by repairing roads and improving drainage with the Ranch Fire burn area. The intent for this contract is to secure services to install 18 closure gates and 49 hazard signs on National Forest system roads within and around the 2018 Ranch Fire footprint on the Mendocino National Forest. The primary work items for the installation of 18 closure gates include fabrication, primer/painting, delivery and installation per the drawings and specifications. Hazard signs, posts, and hardware will be provided by the Government and the contractor will be responsible for installation of the signs per the maps, drawings, and specifications. The Schedule of Items and the General Notes/Road Log will contain the full listing of included work. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, tools, supervision, materials and any incidentals necessary to accomplish work on the Mendocino National Forest. The contractor shall carefully examine the existing conditions and information, shall become familiar with the nature and location of the work, the conformation of the ground slopes and terrain, the nature of the soil and subsoil conditions, nature and extent of the materials that will be encountered during the construction operations and any existing site conditions that may affect the project, prior to the beginning of work. Location: This project is located on the Upper Lake Ranger District and the Grindstone Ranger District of the Mendocino National Forest, within and around the burned perimeter of the 2018 Ranch Fire. Estimated Start Date : October 15, 2018 Contract Completion Time: November 30, 2018 Set-Aside: This project is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Response Location: Offers will be accepted at the Northern California Acquisition Service Area, Redding Office, located within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest Headquarters at 3644 Avtech Parkway, Redding, CA 96002 NO LATER than date and time indicate on the solicitation. SAM REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award. SAM.gov registration is FREE! There is NO FEE to register or maintain their SAM.gov registration Vendors do have the ability to use the services at their local Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC).
