Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared for in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and no written solicitation will be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation will result in a firm fixed price contract an FEI Company transmission electron microscope (TEM) Technai Spirit Biotwin Service Agreement for service in ongoing laboratory research by the USDA facility in Ames IA. Simplified acquisition procedures will be used for this requirement per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. This requirement is being competed under full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811219 with a size standard of less than $20.5 million of dollars.This requirement is for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Veterinary Services Laboratory (NVSL), located in Ames Iowa. (d) Comptroller General Examination of Record. (1) The Comptroller General of the United States, or an authorized representative of the Comptroller General, shall have access to and right to examine any of the Contractor's directly pertinent records involving transactions related to this contract. (2) The Contractor shall make available at its offices at all reasonable times the records, materials, and other evidence for examination, audit, or reproduction, until 3 years after final payment under this contract or for any shorter period specified in FAR Subpart 4.7, Contractor Records Retention, of the other clauses of this contract. If this contract is completely or partially terminated, the records relating to the work terminated shall be made available for 3 years after any resulting final termination settlement.
