- SCOPE OF WORK For W96D Spiker Repair The following describes the scope of work for a service contract to repair a W96D Spiker, SN 256350, BC 58393 for the Railroad Shop. The spiker is currently not operational. Contractor shall perform the following tasks: 1. Remove, reseal, and reinstall all hydraulic cylinders. 2. Repair feeder and jaw cylinders. 3. Replace all bladder bags in hammer guns and reseal and charge with nitrogen. 4. Replace rubber studded mounts on electrical boxes. 5. Replace all belts on the engine. 6. Remove and replace all hoses on the spiker. 7. Repair or replace all electrical motors that power the traverse workheads and polish and grease slider rods so workheads will move freely. 8. Replace all four operator joysticks. 9. Disassemble, clean, test, and reinstall all contact relays due to rust and corrosion. Replace any contacts that are beyond repair. 10. Disassemble, clean, grease, verify water tightness, test, and reinstall all limit switches. 11. Repair or replace carriage wheel guide air cylinders that are binding or sticking. 12. Fabricate new arm supports for workheads to replace the bent supports. 13. Replace bent ear plates on trays. 14. Fabricate and install an engine shroud to shield engine from the weather. 15. Drain, clean out, and refill hydraulic tank. 16. Provide new operation and parts manuals. If the contractor finds any other defects while making these repairs that he feels should be repaired, he shall call David Russell, 903-334-2319, and report those problems. After the repairs are complete, the contractor shall perform a thorough operational test of the spiker to ensure satisfactory operation without any leaks. CONTRACTOR MANPOWER REPORTING (CMR) The Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower & Reserve Affairs) operates and maintains a secure Army data collection site where the contractor will report ALL contractor labor hours (including subcontractor labor hours) required for performance of services provided under this contract via secure data collection site. The contractor is required to completely fill in all required data fields at the following web address: https://cmra.army.mil. See Federal Acquisition Clause 52.237-4000 included in the contract for complete reporting requirements.
