Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified sources; (2) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. The NACIS code is 621511 and the Size Standard is $32.5M. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought synopsis shall be voluntary, and will not be utilized to determine if a vendor is qualified to submit a Request for Quote/Request for Proposal for any future/potential requirement. No vendor will be provided information on solicitations issued on a Government Point of Entry based on this Sources Sought request. The U.S. Army Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific has a requirement for Pathology Testing services for Bassett Army Community Hospital (BACH) on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Specimens for testing include but not limited to: blood, serum, urine, tissue, feces, mucosal, body fluids and spinal fluids. Turnaround time requirements for patient care and patient safety of 24-48 hours is required to meet College of Pathologist (CAP) and Joint Commission. For Clinical Pathology specimens, those specimens that are ordered as STAT need to have a turn-around-time of 1 hour. Breast Tissue-Must be processed within 48 hours - cancer test - If not processed with in time frame test cannot be performed and cancer will not be detected; Fresh or Frozen Tissue Specimens-No Pathologist in facility to process; Cultures attached to Tissue-must be processed within 48 hours and in same facility. All specimens processing and testing shall be completed in accordance with current Joint Commission and College of American Pathologists regulations. All qualified sources are invited to submit electronic information that demonstrates their ability, experience and qualifications in performing services no later than 9 October 2018 at 10:00 am Hawaiian Standard Time. Responses to this notice should include the company name, address and telephone number, Point of Contact (POC) name, telephone# and email address, company CAGE#, DUNS#, and any brochures which will allow the Government to understand your offerings and options. Capability statements should be submitted to the attention of Ms. Valerie Mito, Contract Specialist, Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific at valerie.a.mito.civ@mail.mil. Telephone responses will not be accepted. All vendors working with the Federal Government are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) registry with NAICS Code 621511. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to provide the required services.
