- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract, on a sole source basis, with Aechelon Technology, Inc, CAGE 13PD0, 888 Brannan Street Suite 210, San Francisco, CA 94103 using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 procedures. The procurement is for installation of upgraded cabling, maintenance of and testing of 14 existing Aechelon Visual Image Generators in support of the F-35 Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) program at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The Government does not possess the technical data required to perform the services required. Only Aechelon Technology, Inc possesses the required data. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 8:00AM EDT on 24 September 2018 will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must include the company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number, telecopy (fax) number, electronic mail (e-mail) address and company literature sufficient to determine the capability of this company to perform this effort.
