Description
Purpose An upgrade to our hand-held radio system is needed. The Police does not currently have enough radios to issue to each officer. The XTS 5000 batteries are not holding a charge for the entire shift. There are times that there are not enough usable radios for the shift that is working. Current radio will need a flash upgrade when state moves to the P25 network. Scope of Work Requirements Wilmington VAMC requires (21) handheld transceivers to allow communication internally and externally for the Police Service. All radios will be programmed with the same channels and setup as existing radios. Mics that allows the officer to talk on the radio while on their duty belt will be provided. Charging stations are needed. Specifications: The radios must be capable of operating on the State of Delaware s 3600 Baud, SmartZone trunked radio system P25 networks. We need a transceiver like the Motorola APX6000 700/800 MODEL 2.5 portable radio. Specifically: 21 Handheld Transceivers - to include at a minimum: BLUETOOTH 4.0 WiFi COMPATIBLE TEXT MESSAGE CAPABLE IP67 Rating ensures the radio can withstand two meters of water submersion for two hours.
