- Description
- This notice is posted pursuant to FAR 13.105(a), 5.101(a)(1), 5.203, and 5.207. The Government intends to enter into a brand name, sole source contract with RDQ Economics LLC (RDQE) for subscription consulting services. Specific services will include: •Distribution of economic analysis, commentary, and forecasts via e-mail (including the Daily Economic Calendar, Bottom-Line analysis of U.S. economic releases, Economic Matters, Macro Quick Hits, Weekly Macro Brief, economic monitor sheets, and economic chart books). •Access to the library of past RDQ Economics LLC analysis at the Site (www.rdqeconomics.com). •Access to periodic RDQ Economics conference calls, which may include one (1) or more guest speakers. •Phone and e-mail access to RDQ to answer questions related to RDQ Economics research or discuss issues related to economic trends or monetary policy. •Bespoke projects on macroeconomic topics. •Periodic in-person meetings and/or conference calls to discuss the macroeconomic outlook. The anticipated period of performance is September 30, 2018 to September 29, 2019 with three option years. The Government plans to issue a purchase order to RDQE on or before September 28, 2018. RDQE is the sole provider of its proprietary, brand name subscription services. A subscription to RDQE provides global macroeconomic economic analysis, modeling and data that is unique from its competitors and would not be reproducible using Government resources. RDQE's daily economic briefs, charts, models and figures are easily understandable and help guide the NEC Director and staff on the status of the U.S. Economic and monetary policy. RDQE's economic data analysis provides regular usable data on real GDP, new home sales, employment, construction spending, ISM manufacturing, factory orders, personal income, durable goods orders, import prices, consumer prices and many other market indicators. Additionally, RDQE does regular in-depth analyses of industries and sectors of the U.S. economy that the NEC would not be able to devote the time or resources into creating. Upon review of the market for alternative products, no other company or service was found to provide the same information compiled into regular reports in the way that RDQE can provide. Although some of the data does exist in various external sources, no source compiles the data into one central report that is as easily accessible as RDQE. The Government believes that there is no suitable alternative that provides the benefits of RDQE.
