Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 23 intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source, firm fixed priced purchase order, under Simplified Acquisition Procedures under authority of FAR Part 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i), One Source Reasonably Available, to the University of South Dakota for services in support of the specified aims of the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System Project Study# IRR 13-294, Principal Investigator Lindsey Jorgensen and Sheila Pratt. NAICS Code 611310 with a size standard of $27.5 million will be utilized. The proximity of the University of South Dakota and strong collaboration with the VA investigators is integral to the success of this project study. The University of South Dakota Department of Communications Sciences and Disorders is to provide services of personnel in the completion of the specified aims of the grant. These services include: Assist in the development of interview modules providing expertise with regard to electrophysicological testing techniques used with traumatic brain injury (TBI) populations. Provide feedback and direction regarding administration and analysis of large computer-assisted telephone interviews, and analysis of resulting data. Provide expertise and assistance in the development of practical Veteran-identified interventions based on data collected. Provide expertise and guidance in health care delivery science during data analysis and dissemination. Provide group and individual counseling to study participants. Participate in meetings and provide progress planning for current participants. Assist with applications of potential participants. Provide crisis management and support to participants. Collaborate to keep the VA updated weekly on the progress of the project. Period of Performance: 9/21/2018 9/14/2019. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and no award will be made based on offerors responses to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for market research and information on whether to conduct a competitive procurement in future project study services awarded in support of grant recipients.
