- The Government Publishing office is in need of a quote for the abovementioned requirement. The Statement of Work (SOW) is provided below. We are working under a very tight deadlines as we are closing FY18 on 30 September 2018. Therefore, if you are interested, I am requesting your quote by 2:00 PM EST on 19 September 2018. In the event your quote is accepted, all vendors are required to be registered in System Award Management (SAM). If you are registered, please provide me with your cage code along with your quote. Please let me know if you have any questions. I would like to thank you in advance for your quote. Statement of Work PROJECT TITLE: Purchase Electric Pallet Jack for use in the Order Filling and Warehouse Section of the Pueblo Distribution Center (PDC) BACKGROUND: We would like to purchase an electric pallet jack for use with our delivery truck and off-site storage location. Recent additional PDC contracts with new customers have increased our workload considerably, and we are procuring additional warehouse space at our off-site location to help accommodate the new workload. SCOPE: PDC has recently procured an additional 20,000 square feet of additional storage space and is on track to obtain more in the near future. This added space is located approximately 12 miles from our current building. In addition, we have procured a delivery truck to move stock between our two storage locations as needed. Due to the characteristics of our truck and the dock area of our new storage facility, we are unable to use our current forklifts to load and unload stock, making the use of a pallet jack necessary. The pallet jack will be used on a daily basis for up to 8 hours per day. We expect to load and transport at least 12-15 pallets of stock per day, and expect this number to increase over the next few months. A powered unit will decrease the strain on personnel performing these tasks, resulting in less fatigue and possible injury. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS: N/A. SPECIFIC TASKS: The vendor must provide an electric pallet jack that meets the specific requirements of OF&W. These requirements are: a. Have a "runaway protection" feature that allows safe movement on a slope. b. Use a 24V charger. c..Utilize a "deadman" style safety switch d. Have a capacity of at least 6,000 pounds given a 24 inch load center. e. 48 inch forks. DELIVERABLES AND DELIVERY SCHEDULE: The vendor must deliver the purchased unit within 90 days after award of the contract. GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED EQUIPMENT AND INFORMATION: PDC will proved an appropriate 24V battery charger, and necessary dock/material handling services to unload the unit when delivered.
