Description
Construct a 20-feet x 20-feet chain-link-fenced area with gates, complete-in-place, per Section 323113 Chain-link Fences and Gates; with the following characteristics: Chain-link Fence: Material and height: Install a 5-foot tall chain link fence fabric, black vinyl coated. The fence shall be supported by metal posts that are installed on concrete footings without damaging existing utilities. Add tension wire to the bottom end of fence to provide support. Construct a concrete mow strip that is at least 18-inches wide by 6-inches in depth; and that is 1-inch to 1-1/2 inches above the ground surface. Proper drainage means on the mow strip shall be provided to prevent water from ponding in the fenced area. Refer to Section 03300 Cast in Place Concrete. Gates: Install a dual-gate entrance area on the north end of the fenced area to provide a confined space, on-leash, where a dog can be un-leashed before entering the dog park; and that can protect other dogs from leaving the park while a new user is entering the facility. Include hardware that locks and unlock gates, and close and latch securely. Dual-gate entrance area shall have two 4’ wide x 5’ high gates, on sequence (10-feet apart); and a 10’ long Portland Cement Concrete slab that is 5-inches deep and connects to the new sidewalk. Install double gates on the south end of the fenced area to be used by maintenance personnel. Width of the gate shall be at least 72-inches wide to provide for access of a mowing machine and/or other maintenance equipment. Access Sidewalk: Construct a 5-inch deep access sidewalk in compliance with the latest United States Access Board (ABA) regulations that provides access from the Temporary Lodging Facility to the Dog Fenced area; and from the existing sidewalk and parking area on the north to the Dog Fenced area. The sidewalk shall be 5-feet wide by 12-feet long. (Length of sidewalk to be field verified). The contractor will be required to complete the work listed on the SOW, and perform all inspections. The contractor awarded will need to provide information to have your business set up for payment. Also will need to fill out forms for Reps and Certs. If you are a large business you will need to be set up on 45 days net terms and small business will be 30 days Net terms. Pre-bid to look at the site is scheduled on 20 September 10:00 am Central. Award will be contingent upon approval of funds
