Description

Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential businesses especially any Small Businesses and SDVOSB offerors capable of providing I-STAT Reagents and Supplies as listed in the attached Statement of Need. These are for the VA Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed in the attached document. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business info and if they are an authorized distributor of the items. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at Ronald.Kline@va.gov. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 12:00 pm (EST) on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. Questions can be submitted electronically to at Ronald.Kline@va.gov. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. Contract Title. i-STAT Reagents Service: Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service Requestor: Dana Jump, Supervisory Medical Technologist 1 (412) 360-1084 Control point: 080 3. Background. i-STAT analyzers provide testing for a patient s troponin, creatinine, chem 8+, and CG4+ levels. This testing is vital to critically ill patients that present to the emergency room. These tests are reported in a matter of minutes. Treatment is expedited for the patient as a result. 4. Requirements The contractor must provide reagents and quality control that are compatible with the Abbott i-STAT. The reagent cartridges must be provided on a monthly basis. The quality control materials must be provided quarterly. Materials will be scheduled for shipment according to the needs of Ancillary Testing. The Ancillary supervisor (Dana Jump) and the two Ancillary techs (Anthony Perry and Audrey Gallagher) will be the individuals designated to order against this contract. All reagents will be delivered to the dock area of : VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System University Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15240 Materials will be shipped within 3 business days of ordering. Quarterly updates of materials shipped from the vendor will be sent via email to the Ancillary Testing contact at VA Pittsburgh. Printed SDS will be available upon request. Freight charges will be the responsibility of the contractor. The contractor will be responsible for the repairs and all associated cost of the analyzer. If needed, the contractor will provide a replacement analyzer. Customer service and hotline must be available to VA Pittsburgh at all times. All software and other related upgrades will be provided by the contractor.
