- Amendment 0003 9/14/2018 - Amendment 0003 - The purpose of this amendment is to incorporate the following questions and answers (Q&A): 1. The following questions and answers are hereby incorporated: INDUSTRY QUESTION 5) What is the minimum power, in watts, for the KU, X, and KA band BUCs? GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSE: The following approximate power requirements are hereby incorporated X-Band, EIRP 48.4 dbW, G/T 16.6 db/K; Ku-Band, EIRP 54.3 dbW, G/T 20.6 db/K; Ka-Band, EIRP 56.5 dbW, G/T 22.7 db/K INDUSTRY QUESTION 6) Will a system meeting the required AC & DC input power requirements be acceptable without the option for "Standard or Dual BB 2590 battery, Solar optional"? GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSE: The battery option is required so equipment will run in locations where power is not available. INDUSTRY QUESTION 7) Can the requirement for the RF cable length spec be removed to allow a cable is longer but is still permanently attached to the base of the terminal? GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSE: The RF cable requirement is changed from 'Each individual cable shall not exceed 12 inches in length' to 'Each individual cable will be approximately 12 inches in length'. INDUSTRY QUESTION 8) Can a 1.2m size dish be accepted instead of the 1.3m? The expected EIRP and G/T from a 1.2m should still allow the terminal to operate on any standard satellite network. GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSE: The requirement for a dish size of '1.3m' is changed to 'not larger than 1.3m'. 2. The solicitation response date remains unchanged for 2:00PM on September 17, 2018.
