Description

Notice of Intent THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c) (2), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency. The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22 Gilbert located at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) in Tucson, AZ, intends to award a sole source contract for a one-time upgrade of the Physical Access Control System (PACS) for the New Mexico VA Healthcare System (NMVAHCS) in Albuquerque, NM. The NCO 22 Gilbert intends to make an award to Stanley Convergent Security Solutions, Inc. 8350 Sunlight Dr., Fishers, IN 46037. An urgent and compelling need for this requirement exists and following the ordering procedures would result in unacceptable delays. In accordance with (IAW) FAR Part FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2), the proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2.
