- UPS Inspection Solicitation Brand Name J&A DoDEA Information Technology (IT) Division has routers, switches, and servers at designated facilities throughout the world. The devices are connected to various models of APC UPSs to protect the agency’s IT infrastructure investment as well as secure student and staff digital work and applications under abnormal power conditions. Power fluctuations, whether planned or unplanned, are a routine occurrence at the campus level. When these interruptions occur, DoDEA must have a reliable solution in place which will provide sufficient off-line power to ensure the graceful shutdown of significant IT Infrastructure systems. The operational condition of the UPS is poor and has fallen out of service warranty. In order to sustain operations, DoDEA has as a requirement for a comprehensive maintenance inspection of 39 American Power Company (APC) Uninterruptible Power Supplies at DoDEA facilities within the United States and the Pacific Region. The inspections will help DoDEA IT leadership determine the overall health of the fleet and formulate a get well plan for the future. The contractor shall have a certified APC technician perform on-site visual, mechanical, electrical, and an environmental inspection on the UPSs listed in Attachment 1. After the completion of the inspection, the contractor will supply an indepth electronic report containing discrepancies, pictures, and recommendations, as outlined in the reports section of this PWS, to the designated DoDEA representative.
