General Information Document Title: Mediso High Energy Collimators for NanoSPECT/CT Document Type: Pre-solicitation Notice Solicitation Number: N02CO84107-33 Posted Date: 09/12/2018 Response Date: 09/14/2018 2:00 PM ET Classification Code: 66 Instruments & laboratory equipment NAICS Code: 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing Contracting Office Address Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, Office of Acquisitions, 9609 Medical Center Drive, Room 1E148, Rockville, MD 20850, UNITED STATES Description The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), National Institute of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), Molecular Imaging Program, plans to procure on a sole source basis one (1) high energy collimators for the NanoSPECT/CT from Mediso USA, LLC., 2 Oliver Street, Suite 613, Boston, MA 02109. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1) and 13.501-(a)(1) using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial acquisitions. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334516 and the business size standard is 1,000 employees. It has been determined there are no opportunities to acquire green products or services for this procurement. Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This will be awarded as a firm fixed price type contract. The MIP is focused on the development and translation of in vivo molecular imaging agents for early detection, monitoring, and therapy. The mission of the Molecular Imaging Program is to advance cancer therapies using molecular imaging. The Molecular Imaging Program (MIP) conducts research in designing, developing and testing new novel targeted imaging agents for the detection and characterization of cancer. These imaging agents include tissue-specific MRI, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), radionuclide, and optical probes. We are focused on the clinical translation of targeted imaging agents for cancer. SCOPE The Contractor shall provide Mediso high energy Collimators with installation PRODUCT FEATURES/SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS The following product features/characteristics are required for this request: • Must be compatible with the Mediso/BioScan NanoSPECT/CT • Must come in a set of 4 identical components that physically fit the aperatures of the Mediso/BioScan NanoSPECT • Must have adequate thickness for imaging radionuclides such as I-131 and Ra-223 • Must have 9 pinholes of 1.4mm in diameter geometrically arranged to match the Mediso/BioScan low energy multi-pinhole collimator DELIVERY / INSTALLATION Delivery Address: NCI Molecular Imaging Program, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bldg 10, Room B3B69, Bethesda, MD 20892 Technical Point of Contact: Karen Wong, 240-858-3087 Installation Address: NCI Molecular Imaging Program, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bldg 10, Room B3B403A, Bethesda, MD 20892 POC: Jurgen Seidel, 240-858-3081 This notice is not a solicitation for competitive quotations. However, if any interested party, especially small business believes it can meet the above requirement, it may submit a capability statement for the Government to consider. The response and any other information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NCI to determine if the party can perform the requirement. Questions must be received by no later than 3:00PM EST Wednesday, September 13, 2018 and Responses must be received in the contracting office by 2:00 PM ET, on September 14, 2018. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
