Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Siemens Industry, Inc.6075 East Mollory Road, Syracuse, NY 13211.The period of performance for contract award will be from November 1, 2018 through October 31, 2019 with a provision of four (4) options years. This requirement is to provide for the Siemens Desigo HVAC Controls a service contract for software upgrades to the existing Siemens Desigo CC software as they are released. The upgrades include both Service Releases and all New Version Releases of Software. Quarterly service of the Desigo server including diagnostics and adjustments to maintain speed and reliability will also be provided by Siemens. This service is for the Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210-2716. Siemens Industry, Inc, is the only known provider since the software is proprietary and the software upgrades and maintenance can only be provided by Siemens Industry, Inc. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by September 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Kimberly.wiatrowski@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
