Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, NCO 10 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Only one source reasonably available for the following items listed below. The associated NAICS code for this is 334516. The vendor will be SIEMENS Healthcare Diagnostics, PO Box 6101, Mailstop 530, Newark, DE 19714. Description of requirements: Firm-fixed price cost per reportable test maintenance agreement and test reagents used with the Siemens Advia 1800 and Centaur XP analyzers currently owned by this VAMC location. Testing includes immunoassays anemia, oncology, thyroid, reproductive, and hepatitis. Other tests may be added and current removed as patient needs change throughout the year. Period of Performance: October 1, 2018- September 30, 2019. A firm fixed price consignment agreement with option years is anticipated. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
