- USNS SUPPLY SSDG INSPECTION AND REPAIR SMART #31120 -This item describes OEM oversight and material for repair as per Condition report dated 8/2/2018 Contractor to provide technical guidance during the SMART inspection to include the U/W period. -The contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of tier, must consult the General Technical Requirements to determine applicability to this Work Item. In performance of this Work Item, the contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of tier, must comply with the requirements of all applicable GTR's, including but not limited to, GTR's 1 through 7 and 24. -The contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of tier, are advised to review the other Work Items under this contract to determine their effect on the work required under this Work Item. Many of the definitions relating to the performance of this Work Item are found in Work Item 001. -The contractor shall support Ships Crew as needed to include the underway period (1 Day). -Contractor will provide oversight of Ships Crew for repair of 5 SSDG's as per Inspection dated 2 August 2018. -Ship's Force will tag out the ships five (5) SSDG's to allow inspection. Chief Engineer will determine the order of units tagged out. -Provide oversight for Disconnecting all interferences in way of removals; retain hardware for re-use. Blank all openings resulting from any removals that are not immediately re-installed. -Contractor shall validate inspection report dated 2 August 20, 2018 to ensure no new conditions are found and provide an updated report. -Provide a report for all replaced and refurbished parts to the MSC Rep and Chief Engineer following inspections. - Contractor shall provide the services of a Certified Caterpillar Technical Representative to perform the specifications of this item.
