Description
B-52 CERP Step 1 Candidate Engine Data Request The following three additional questions are added to the "Business Practices" section of the notice. Please provide your responses by 8 October 2018, 2PM Central. 29. Success of Step 1 of the two step engine source selection for the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) would require certain information on each candidate engine at the start of Step 1. That information would be used during Step 1 to assist in the development of the integrated installation concepts. To that purpose, the USAF requests the information listed in accompanying file titled "B-52 CERP Step 1 Candidate Engine Data Request" from vendors interested in this opportunity for each of their candidate engines. 30. In order to provide the greatest possible understanding of B-52 CERP requirements, the USAF requests vendors to identify B-52 configuration, performance or other data you deem vital to understanding B-52 CERP requirement. The USAF will make every effort to provide access to requested data that is available and releasable. 31. Unique B-52 engine accessory requirements could potentially require development of a new engine gearbox. Even though B-52 engine accessory requirements are not yet fully defined, can you please provide an estimated time to develop a production ready gearbox design to assist in our schedule development?
