Description
Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential businesses especially any Small Businesses and SDVOSB offerors capable of providing an Excimer Laser System as listed in the below Statement of Need. These are for the VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA 19104. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed in the attached document. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business info and if they are an authorized distributor of the items. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at Ronald.Kline@va.gov. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 12:00 pm (EST) on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. Questions can be submitted electronically to at Ronald.Kline@va.gov. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. STATEMENT OF NEED This SON covers the following activities and deliverables. This scope of work is the delivery and installation of one (1) Excimer Laser System (CVX-300) to the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VAMC Diagnostic Imaging/Interventional Radiology department. It is also required that the Excimer Laser System have the following salient features: Salient Features Peripheral Procedures: Treatment of infrainguinal stenosis and occlusions Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) Total occlusions crossable by guidwires Coronary Procedures: Moderately calcified stenosis Occluded saphenous vein bypass grafts Long diffuse disease Restenosis in 316L stainless steel stents, prior to the administration of intravascular brachytherapy Lesions that previously failed balloon angioplasty Balloon-refractory and balloon-resistant lesions Ostial lesions The laser and fiber optic catheter system has FDA-cleared individualization of treatment for the following : In coronary procedures, excimer laser treatment may be considered in the presence of acute myocardial infarction, acute thrombus, and ejection fraction of less than (<) 30% In peripheral procedures, excimer laser treatment may be considered if a guidewire crossing attempt is unsuccessful, the proximal occlusion cap deflects the guidewire into a subintimal path or collateral branch, and if calcification obstructs the complete passage of the guidewire through the lesion In peripheral procedures, recanalization of native arteries may be considered when presented with occluded bypass grafts Lead Management Procedures: Laser-assisted lead removal has an established safety profile and has proven effective in multiple clinical trials The laser sheath enables fast and predictable lead removal procedures Laser technology enables higher success rates than mechanical sheaths 12 MONTH WARRANTY
