Description
Future Vertical Lift - Engine Options for Future Long Range Assault Aircraft. Amendment on 5 September 2018, provides the following synopsis: The US Army Aviation Turbine Engines Project Office (ATE PO), herein after referred to as the US Government, is seeking information, performance capabilities, and technical data on Commercial Off-The-Shelf/Non-Developmental Item (COTS/NDI), commercial-modified, and military aviation turbine engines in support of a Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA). The FLRAA supports the FVL Capability Set 3 missions. Both existing and developing engine systems and component level data are sought, which describe candidate technologies of interest for FLRAA, their current capabilities, estimated costs, schedules, and risks. This data will assist the US Government's planning efforts to procure a solution for current and future Army Aviation applications. This RFI, issued in accordance with FAR 15.201(e), is issued for the purpose of preliminary planning for potential acquisition of an aviation turbine engine for the FLRAA platform and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). The US Government is requesting information to determine the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) of aviation turbine engines, components, and technologies capable of supporting FLRAA. Additionally, the US Government is seeking information on the state of the art of engine technology to enhance air vehicle performance capabilities, as well as the availability of technical data to support requirements development, advanced concept studies, product support concept development, and long range planning purposes. A response to this notice is not an offer, and no offer can or will be accepted by the US Government to form a binding contract. Please see attachment "Future Verticle Lift - Engine Options for Future Long Range Assault Aircraft" for additional information.
